In recent weeks, tornadoes have been a frequent site over much of the central and southern United States. This time, it was the Dayton, Ohio area’s turn to be hit, as an EF3 tornado touched down in the town of Trotwood, OH, just north of Dayton. Tragically, one person was killed in the tornado. 12 others were injured as a result of the storm. The tornado also left behind widespread damage, so much so that snow plows were used to clear debris off of Interstate 75.
Unfortunately for the storm-battered region, the threat of thunderstorms, some of which could be severe, will continue over the next few days. The Storm Prediction Center has Dayton under the risk area for severe thunderstorms through Thursday.
